DC Salsa Network Presents:

Spring Salsa Festival-Sunday, April 5, 2009 

The DC Salsa Network will hold its annual scholarship fund raising drive on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at CoCoCabana, 2031A University Blvd, Hyattsivlle, Md. 20783, 301-431-1882.

The DC Salsa Network hosts the 2nd Annual Salsa Mini Fest on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from noon until 10 pm to raise money for its Annual Scholarship Awards. The day long event includes 8 dance classes, 4 panel discussions, salsa films and documentaries, multimedia presentation on salsa's history, and open dancing to four top DJs. The event will be held at CocoCabana located at 2031 A University Blvd.; Hyattsville MD, 20783. Registration begins at noon with workshops and classes followed by open dancing. Early bird registration is $25 until March 15, 2009; $35.00 until March 31 and $40 from April 1 and at the door.  A complete list of the program, is on the left under Salsa Festival, on the right. Free Luncheon For Past and Current Salsa Network Members:
 
SalsaMetro.Com is hosting a free luncheon, on Sunday, April 5, 2009, beginning at:10:30am at CoCoCabana.2031A University Blvd, Hyattsville, Md. SalsaMetro hopes all past and current members will come and socialize. Those interested in learning more about the Salsa Network are also invited to the luncheon. 
 

Salseros Launch A Magazine-"The Scene."

LoRenzo Haire  is the Editor of "The Scene" a magazine published quarterly for only $2.00. The staff's ditors and contributing writers are familiar faces in the Wash.D.C. Salsa Scene. The Staff: Kira zalan, Managing Editor, Kelly Reed, Graphic Design/Layout, Jon Trevino, Photography, and Mateo Johnson, Web Design, and contributing editors: Kate Willson, Cathy Freeman, Grace Badillo, and Hector Chavez, are well known salseros.
